Blue Rose Arts is a creative retreat where photographer and painter Karen Elder lives, works

and hosts creative healing workshops based on artistic processes.

Located near Roan Mountain, bordering North Carolina and Tennessee, where nature provides

the backdrop for a rural experience in a small, intimate classroom.

Participants can embrace transitions, insights and general relaxation and if needed, may stay

over night at the shared guest house.  Organic vegetarian meals are served using local baked

goods, teas and garden produce - when seasonally available.

Families are welcome to visit by appointment and enjoy the Monarch butterflies raised and

released at the retreat from Spring to Fall.
